Be careful what you wish for.
Everyone wants something.
Cinderella wants to go to the festival. Jack wants his cow back. A Baker and his Wife want a child. Little Red is just trying to get to Granny’s house.
Then they enter the woods.
Fairy tales collide, wishes come true and happily ever after turns out to be only the beginning.
Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Into the Woods takes the stories you think you know and twists them into something funny, clever, dark and unexpectedly moving. Witches, giants, princes and impossible choices come together in a musical about getting what you want… and dealing with what comes next.
Featuring an iconic Sondheim score including Agony, Giants in the Sky, No One Is Alone and Children Will Listen.
Following Avenue Q and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the multi-award-winning Portsmouth Players return with a fresh, thrilling take on Sondheim’s legendary musical.
Make a wish.
Take the path.
Enter the woods.
