About the event
Join us for a wonderful evening of music and entertainment, celebrating the 75th Anniversary of VE Day, and the 150th Anniversary of the British Red Cross.
VE Day, or Victory in Europe Day, marked the end of fighting during World War II, almost a year after D-Day- a milestone that changed the course of history.
In 1870, the National Society for Aid to the Sick and Wounded was established, later known as the British Red Cross, creating military hospitals in over 40 locations across Hampshire. Today, the British Red Cross continues to help those in crisis, from its centres in Portsmouth.
Profits from this event will be donated to the work of the British Red Cross in Portsmouth.
