Join New Theatre Royal associate artists Two Colours Ukrainian Choir for a captivating evening of music. This is more than your typical concert however – it’s a celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the choir’s members and their beloved homeland Ukraine.
Immerse yourself in the harmonious combination of traditional and contemporary songs honouring the diversity of Ukrainian music. Not only will you be treated to an evening of beautiful music but you will come away with a real appreciation for the cultural depths of Ukraine and what these brave women have overcome.
Emerging from the conflict in Ukraine and seeking refuge in Hampshire, this group of resilient women came together to form the Two Colours Ukrainian Choir. They have been studying to learn English at Havant & South Downs College and will be merging their learning with their love of music by performing an unforgettable concert with songs in both Ukrainian and English. The show is your chance to witness an iconic display of bravery and courage as these women share their love and appreciation of their home country with the audience through music.
In September 2023 they stunned audiences with their incredibly moving performance of traditional carols and modern hits performed in both English and Ukrainian at the New Theatre Royal Portsmouth. Watch the trailer below for a sample of their talents and ability to put on an amazing show!
