About the event

A Christmas Musical Spectacular, waiting for you to discover and unwrap!

On a sparkling Christmas Eve, join Clara as she is swept away through a wondrous winter wonderland, full of treats, surprises and adventures.

More than a story: The Nutcracker is the feeling of Christmas in one big parcel – waiting for you to unwrap.

The show is written and directed by New Theatre Royal Director, Scott Ramsay, and is presented with the same team as last years hit version of Peter Pan.

Scott said, “We wanted to develop a well known but unexpected Christmas title, a story actually set during Christmas, and The Nutcracker leapt out. As well as the books, it’s popularly known for its Ballet and Movie versions, and it’s going to be perfect as a Christmas family musical too. It really is the essence of Christmas, all wrapped up in one big musical spectacular.”

A quintessential Christmas treat, with luscious designs and beautiful storytelling. Join our stunning cast for the ultimate festive entertainment for all ages.
