About the event
Welcome to New York City in the 1930s, as gamblers hustle and dancers shimmy their way round Times Square and straight through the Great Depression. Nathan Detroit needs to find a place for his illegal crap game, whilst avoiding marriage to Adelaide; Sky Masterson never makes a bet he can’t win, but here comes the toughest so far; and Sarah Brown needs sinners for the Save-A-Soul Mission, but what’s she willing to do to get them? Guys and Dolls is one of the most celebrated musicals of all time, loved for its blend of zinging humour and classic songs such as ‘Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ The Boat’, ‘Luck Be A Lady’ and ‘If I Were A Bell’.
Performed here by pupils from The Portsmouth Grammar School with a full orchestra, kicking choreography and a host of larger-than-life characters, we promise an exhilarating evening that transports you to Broadway and beyond.
