The Idiot Colony is an award winning and visually stunning play based on real life accounts of the treatment and incarceration of 'moral defectives' in 1940's England. Forgotten for decades inside a mental hospital, three women escape their present by remembering their past. In the asylum's hair salon, to the strains of Rick Astley and Glenn Miller they relive wartime affairs, illicit trysts and childhood secrets.
