Wheelchair access

Tickets are available for wheelchair users in the stalls. Please inform the box office if there are wheelchair users in your party when booking.

Wheelchair access to the building is through the double doors nearest to The White Swan pub, please ring the doorbell.

Wheelchair users can also eat at Othellos Café in the Stalls Bar area during the day. Please ask at the box office on arrival.

Disabled Parking

Blue badge holders can park in any Portsmouth City Council-run carpark or pay and display street parking. In the evenings, the best places are street parking in King Henry I Street and the Dorothy Dymond Carpark in Alec Rose Lane. In the evening, please avoid the Isambard Kingdom Brunel Carpark unless paying as free parking requires the presence of the attendant to lift the barrier. Parking in Guildhall Walk and Exchange Road after 5pm is forbidden as these areas become taxi-ranks after this time.

Hearing Loop

There is an induction hearing loop installed in the first rows of the Stalls. Please let the box office know when booking tickets if this is needed.

Guide Dogs

We welcome all guide dogs at the New Theatre Royal.

Children

Unaccompanied children of 12 years and over are welcome at most performances (except those with an age guidance limit indicated in the brochure). Please ensure if children are attending without a parent/guardian that they have safe travel to and from the theatre. Attendance of children accompanied by parent/guardian at events with an age limit indicated is at the discretion of the parent/guardian. Please contact the house manager for guidance and help.
