EducationMost of the performances at the New Theatre Royal are ideal for secondary schools, Key Stage 3 and above. Some are suitable for pupils in Primary, Junior and Infant education. All the professional theatre companies run post-show Q+A sessions with the cast, these are immediately after their performance and are free - they usually last about 30 minutes. These are invariably lively and enjoyable with lots of in-put from the young people in the audience.
Visiting companies also offer workshops and these can be arranged by contacting the Education Officer.
Tickets for school parties are usually at the special rate of £6 in the stalls, the concession price in the dress circle and £5 in the upper circle. Accompanying staff are free - this offer is conditional on payment being made at least 14 days before the performance.

The New Theatre Royal is happy to respond to requests for tours of the theatre, teach-ins at the theatre or any specialist workshops – we can offer tailor-made projects to your requirements within the GCSE, Btec and 14 – 19 Diploma curricula.
