No need to worry about finding somewhere to park when visiting the NTR.
Free Parking
Available on weekdays after 6pm and all day on weekends for theatre patrons in the University of Portsmouth car parks in either Waltham Street (behind The University House Building) or Middle Street (The Eldon Buiding) which is off Winston Churchill Avenue on the opposite side to Guildhall Walk. Your car must be moved by the following morning.
On street parking is limited, but free after 6pm.
Reduced Price Parking
Available in Isambard Brunel car park on Alec Rose Lane. Parking tokens can be bought from the theatre before entering the car park for £2.50, allowing up to 6 hours parking after 6pm.
Coaches
Coaches can drop off outside the theatre in Guildhall Walk before 6pm or in Exchange Road by the side of the theatre after 6pm.
There are official coach parking areas in Portsmouth, the Nearest one to the New Theatre Royal is in Museum Road, PO1 2LJ. Parking fees at all Coach Parks are £1 per hour for up to 4 hours. Over 4 hours a full day charge applies. Full day’s parking is £5.
