Treasure Island
In 2010 we commissioned Louise Page (RSC, The Archers) to write a new musical adaptation of the classic tale of Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson with music by Alonso Mendoza to lyrics by Christopher Hawes.
Long John Silver was played by Christopher Barlow (Earthworm in James and the Giant Peach) and introducing Leonie Elliot (Young Nala in Lion King) as Tempest Silver, Long John Silver’s feisty daughter.

In 2009 New Theatre Royal produced its first in house professional Christmas show for 50 years- Alice in Wonderland by Mike Carter.
